Comprehensive Outline for an Engaging Decorative Backdrop Design Session Featuring Spring Pastels and Tea Party Inspirations
This course guides participants through the art of creating decorative bows and reusable pearl strands, tailored for spring celebrations such as tea parties, Mother’s Day gatherings, graduations, and spring weddings. Participants will learn to craft bows ranging from delicate pastel ribbon bows to impressive fabric bows for backdrops, and even durable outdoor bows using light, weather-friendly materials. The emphasis will be on selecting airy spring fabrics, soft pastel color palettes, to complement spring, seasonal embellishments such as flowers, pearls, and lace.
This workshop is meticulously crafted for both aspiring and experienced event designers. Under the expert guidance of Jacqueline Harris, a highly accomplished event designer and master in premium draping artistry, this program delivers a blend of sophisticated design methodologies, meticulous fabric selection and preparation, advanced tools and hardware utilization, and cutting-edge lighting techniques. Participants will gain hands-on experience in creating simple and advance bows that can be used to accentuate backdrops that raise every occasion to a new level of aesthetic excellence.
Workshop Highlights
- Introduce both basic and advanced bow-making techniques and reusable pearl strand garlands suitable for spring events
- Explore appropriate materials for different bow types, including pastel ribbons for small bows, sheer fabrics and linens for backdrop bows, and lightweight, weather-friendly outdoor materials (e.g., outdoor polyester, nylon, poly-cotton blends, and waterproof canvas) for garden celebrations and spring weddings
- Inspire creative designs tailored for spring, tea parties, Mother’s Day, graduation, and wedding themes
